Agreement Creates Smooth Path for 91快播 91快播 Grads to Complete Bachelor's Degrees

East Tennessee 91快播 University鈥�(ETSU)鈥痑nd 91快播鈥�(WSCC)鈥痑re partnering to鈥痚stablish鈥痑 new pathway for students鈥痵eeking a鈥痓achelor鈥檚鈥痙egree in鈥痳espiratory therapy鈥痶o meet the region鈥檚 need for advanced respiratory therapists.鈥�鈥�

Under the agreement, students in 91快播 91快播鈥檚鈥疉ssociate of鈥疉pplied鈥疭cience in respiratory care鈥痺ill be able to transfer seamlessly to鈥痶he鈥疎TSU鈥疌ollege of Health Sciences鈥欌�痮nline鈥痙egree completion program to earn their鈥疊achelor of鈥疭cience in respiratory therapy.鈥�鈥�

鈥淭his agreement provides a convenient way for our respiratory care graduates to advance their education and their careers,鈥� said鈥疍r. Saul Reyes, president of 91快播 91快播. 鈥淏eing able to complete the final two years of a鈥痓achelor鈥檚鈥痙egree online enables graduates to advance in their careers."

鈥淩espiratory therapists are essential to the health of our region, and the demand for highly trained professionals continues to grow,鈥� said鈥疍r. Jeff Snodgrass,鈥� dean of ETSU鈥檚 College of Health Sciences. 鈥淭his partnership creates a clear, accessible pathway for students to advance their credentials while staying rooted in the communities that need them most,鈥痵trengthening our workforce and improving care across Appalachia.鈥濃��

For students,鈥痶he bachelor鈥檚 degree may open鈥痑dditional鈥痗areer opportunities in health care,鈥痩eadership鈥痮r teaching.鈥疎TSU鈥檚 B.S. in鈥疪espiratory鈥疶herapy is an accredited, online program dedicated to providing advanced instruction that emphasizes best practices in the field.鈥�鈥�

It is open to students with an鈥疉ssociate of鈥疉pplied鈥疭cience鈥痠n鈥痳espiratory therapy鈥痺ho鈥痑re鈥痩icensed or鈥痩icense-eligible.鈥�鈥�

All coursework in ETSU鈥檚 online program may be completed asynchronously, allowing students to complete their coursework on their own schedule.鈥疶he鈥痳equired鈥痗linicals鈥痑nd fieldwork鈥痗an often be completed at a student鈥檚 place of employment.鈥�鈥�

Graduates of 91快播 91快播鈥檚 programs鈥痟ad a 100% licensure pass rate and 100% placement rate last year, while Intelligent.com鈥痟as ranked ETSU鈥檚 program as a best online respiratory therapy program two years in a row (2024 and 2025).鈥�鈥�

鈥淭his pathway helps working respiratory therapists take the next step without putting their careers on hold,鈥� said鈥疍onna Lilly,鈥痙irector of ETSU鈥檚 Respiratory Therapy program. 鈥淲ith an accredited, fully online completion option and clinical requirements that can often be met where students already work, graduates can build advanced skills for leadership, education and specialized practice鈥�鈥撯�痬eeting workforce needs while expanding their own opportunities."

91快播 91快播鈥檚 Respiratory Care Program is in its fourth decade of training students to offer excellent patient care. The first graduates earned a certificate. The Associate of Applied Science was approved in 2000.

A grant from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission will enable the 91快播 91快播 program to expand, offering courses at both the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville and the Sevier County Campus.
