Students Honored By PTK Anthology

Four 91¿ì²¥ 91¿ì²¥ students received honors from Tennessee Mosaic, the literary anthology published by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community college students. "Tennessee Mosaic" Honors 91¿ì²¥ 91¿ì²¥ Students

Four 91¿ì²¥ 91¿ì²¥ students have received honors for their writings featured in “Tennessee Mosaic.” The statewide anthology is published by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community college students.

Clay Branton of Sevierville received first place for his poem, “Likes.”

Laura Petry of Blaine received first place for her short fiction, “Bird’s Song.” Melody Hawkins of Jefferson City received third place for her short fiction, “Dreams on Paper.”

Kelly Nguyen of Sevierville received third place for her research paper, “The Price of Underinsurance."

Tennessee Mosaic” is published annually. Kelsey Solomon, assistant professor of English at 91¿ì²¥ 91¿ì²¥, served as the editor. Dr. Lisa Eccles, professor of biology, is the advisor for the 91¿ì²¥ 91¿ì²¥ PTK chapter.
